With Demand Prioritization, you are able to gain a deep understanding into how our Revenue Optimization algorithm works : you can see all Ad Networks and their placements, predicted CPMs for each placement and much more. On top of that, we give you the possibility to adapt your Demand Prioritization according to your own preferences - for each Asset , Country and Ad Format.
When you access the feature for the first time, you will see a landing page, giving you a basic description of Demand Prioritization:
The Get Started button takes you directly to the Default Prioritization view. This view shows you how our algorithm optimizes your Ad Networks order , based on predicted eCPM values.
Country is preselected as United States, but you can change the selection and see your Prioritization for any given country. There is also a possibility to browse through all available Ad Formats (Interstitial, Banner, Native, Rewarded Video):
Each network placement is defined with a set of values:
- Ad Network name
- Floor type
- Floor price
- Average revenues per day
- Average impressions per day
- Predicted eCPM
Hovering over these values gives you tooltips with more information for each item.
Create a new Set
In order to define your own prioritization manually, you need to create a new Set.
Get started by clicking 'Add New Set' in the top left corner. Afterwards, you will be required to enter a name for your Set. Select one or more countries, and then you can choose Ad Network placements to be put into the Manual configuration section.
One Set can contain manual prioritization for one or more network placements and for one or more Ad Formats.
When you want to put a network placement into Manual configuration, you have to click on the red icon on the right. Once you do so, your selected network placement is directly transferred into Manual configuration section.
If you have more than one placement inside Manual configuration, you can adapt their priorities by dragging and dropping the placements on the desired position.
After you save your newly created Set, it is visible and easily accessible in the Sets list on the left. Those Ad Formats that contain some manually prioritized placements are marked with a red icon next to the format name.
You are free to create as many Sets as you’d like, keeping in mind that one country can only be included in one Set. For example, if you’ve already created one Set that contains United States, it will not be possible to create another one - it will not be possible to select United States anymore in the country dropdown menu.
When you define your Set on a certain country and Ad Format, it effectively means that each new ad request (with this country and Ad Format) will first be directed to the network placements in the Manual configuration section. In an instance where those network placements can't fill the impression, your ad request will be routed to the placements inside the Auto optimization section.
If you want to easily check your Prioritization settings on another one of your Assets, you can simply do so by selecting your desired Asset from the breadcrumbs drop down in the top header:
Create a new Set on multiple countries
If you wish to easily adapt your manual prioritization across multiple countries, you can simply do so by selecting your countries from the country drop down:
Once you select more than one country, your statistics for each Ad Network placement are getting updated, to take into account all the countries you add to the Set:
- Average revenues per day will be shown as a sum across all countries
- Average impressions per day will be shown as a sum across all countries
- Predicted eCPM will be shown as a weighted average value, plus minimum and maximum value (in brackets) among all countries CPMs. When you click on CPM, you are able to get a full list of predicted eCPMs for each country
Edit or delete your Sets
Once you've created your Sets, you can access them by clicking on the corresponding name in the Sets list. For each Set, you have the option to edit or delete it.
In editing mode, you can add or remove Ad Network placements from Manual configuration or reorder them, on all available Ad Formats.
If you choose to delete your Set, please note that you will not be able to retrieve it anymore after the deletion , you would need to create a new Set from scratch. When you delete your Set, you fall back to using our Revenue Optimization algorithm for those countries, meaning your demand sources are prioritized automatically again.
